Its also the reason for the lack of mods that the base game has. I feel that below zero could be a stronger game, but there needs to be a lot more work done to it. and I do like the setting.īut then again: that is my personal blabla and who am I to judge, anyway?īut what interest me: do you feel subnautica running smooth(er) now?īut what interest me: do you feel subnautica running smooth(er) now? I am not running on the 2.0 version of subnautica, because mods have not been updated yet. in my opinion BZ does a lot of things right. One thing though: the hickups in Subnautica shall be gone and the game shall run as smooth and easy as below zero. It's different in some ways, true, but if it would tell the same story with the same goals and the same setup and all the same mechanics, everybody would complain that those are just the same games, sold twice. Other opinions may state below zero as some good and interesting game and it can do a lot of things right, but doesn't that depend on ones personal opinion?Īnd that below zero can't do things right is just, how to say - wrong, sorry to contradict here. Technically speaking there are quite differences, of course, but both are diving simulations on (the same) distant planet with lots of underwater fauna and flora and with the mechanics of basebuilding and exploring as you dive. Maybe my experiences with Subnautica (1) on XBox One and Below Zero on PC are not the same as yours, but to state that those are completely different games is quite an exaggeration, isn't it? It won't spread through word of mouth and won't have as many streamers playing it. The next game may make others wanna buy the older games, but some players lost interest in any new Subnautica game. There are other lessons to be learned from Below Zero and only time will tell. Subnautica base game was a magic experience. Subnautica base is a completely different game than below zero is, because of everything that it is, and everything that below zero isnt. as seen with below zero, the developers have SERIOUS financial gain possible here, with the third installment, because it will cause people to buy the older games.īesides, the one thing that was learned with below zero, was that it couldnt do what the original did, and that is VERY true. following that most users are suspecting that their secret announcement coming up, is the announcement of the next subnautica game in the series. Has to be scanned from the outside, from pretty close up.Originally posted by bongerman85:part of the reason for the update was to get subnautica base to the same level on unity that below zero is on, thus when problems need to be fixed, they can be done for both games. I'll give that a try, I never saw a prompt for it when aiming at them with my scanner though. I must be stupid, I had no idea I could scan the buildings. If you are on the correct island, then, NORMALLY, the mountain top bases in particular would be visible from many parts of the island (unless they cut down the draw distance even more since I last considered that. But with the odd state the game is still in, more details are needed than "So I looked on an island a lot" ![]() So it is still possible you're having real problems and not just "LOL learn 2 play CoD boy" as some idiots would put it. ![]() I mean I've seen people posting in the bugs forums that floater island isn't even rendering for them, falling through base terrain, even one where NOTHING is spawning anywhere in the safe shallows from resources to coral. Is it the island with or without the Giant alien gun for a base? No MP rooms on that island? Because there are two islands. Are you scanning the buildings?ĭumb question the second. ![]()
